You get 14 boards in one lot. Each board is one channel. Here's your opportunity to build the famous balanced single ended amplifier that is truly balanced from input to output, in single ended operation! These boards were introduced on the market couple decades ago, as a limited supply. These boards for sale are extras that I don't need, so grab them while they're available! The 3rd photo is the schematics for the Aleph-X found online, with search name "Pass Aleph X schematic". It's the first schematic that comes up in the search. The schematic is a match to this board, with the parts location matching the board. Please note, Q5 and Q7 are the balanced input mosfets. They're a TO-220 case, (IRF9610). As you see on the board, the heatsink tabs face eachother, for the reason that they are to be thermally contacting eachother, but not electrically, must be insulated from eachother with a TO-220 thermal insulator. This is for maintaining more accurately balanced current between both sides of the balanced amplifiers by coupling the heat of both input mosfets together. The input and CCS mosfets run at low current, so heat sink is not required on them. There are more modern versions of the IRF9610, made by other manufacturers, that are ultra low noise, that would be a better choice. The output stage can be a bank of N mosfets, for higher power and higher current, but you need to know and understand the right calculations for the output current resistors values, for every mosfet you add in parallel, and the individual source resistors, which can be referenced from schematics on the different model Aleph amplifier schematics. The design of this board, with only a single mosfet per output section is good for about 10 watts into 8 ohms, with +/-24V supply. More power can be achieved with adding more banks of output mosfets, and raising the supply voltage. You can see examples of mosfet paralleling on high power Aleph amplifiers, for driving more power output, or for driving lower impedances. So save yourself thousands of dollars of the Pass Labs XA amplifiers, and build your own pair! Each board is one channel. You get 2 boards for each lot Boards are not returnable, sale is final.
