Canna 'Innuendo' is a very robust grower reaching heights of 7-8 feet tall and might spread 2-3 feet in just one season. Dramatic upright foliage with dark lance-shaped purple-bronze glaucous leaves with dark veins topped with delicate (not too bright) medium size orchid-like golden orange flowers complementing slender smooth colored foliage summer to late fall. Prefers regular irrigation and could be grown as an aquatic plant partly submerged or in damp soil. Cold hardy to USDA zone 8. Keeps foliage color well, grows tallest and flowers abundantly planted in full sun or light shaded location protected from high winds.
