If you have never worked with German Silver wire, it is stiffer that Sterling Silver. However, it is extremely strong, and does not tarnish. German Silver is also known as Alpacca Silver, Paktong, New Silver, Nickel Silver, White Brass, or Alpaca. Typically, German Silver consists of 65% copper, 18% nickel, and 17% zinc. It also may contain a small amount of antimony and tin. German Silver contains no actual silver. Also it contains no lead.
