It swivels in the middle and is designed to rotate on the male-end of the 1/4" N.P.T. threaded section so that the air hose never tangles up(2nd. picture description). Fatigue is minimized verses struggling with a hose that is constantly weighing you down while working. This design minimizes pressure drop required by your air tools as well. If you straighten the hose using the "Freedom Swivel" it becomes completely linear. This is demonstrated solely as examples(not part of the auction) in the 8th. and 9th. pictures to give you a better idea of a cumbersome PERMANENT 90 degree bend found in other cheaper designs. These swivels are made out of high grade aluminum, NO PLASTIC and very heavy duty. Pricey but well worth it but I have them lower than the other sellers.
