Description: 16.5" Casa Dosa Gaited Endurance Saddle 16.5" Casa Dosa Gaited Endurance Saddle This is such a cool saddle! Casa Dosa Saddles were the 'go to' for Paso Finos and similar gaited horses. Casa Dosa is now built with Freedom Saddles, with Freedom still offering this very line of saddles. If you don't ride a Paso, that is ok! This saddle will fit many different breeds of horses and is incredibly popular in the endurance and mule community. Despite being an older one, this one has been incredibly well cared for. Built in a Trooper/Plantation Style, offering a 16.5" seat that is fully suede, offering a very deep seat, higher cantle, and pencil roll. On a Gaited Tree. Gullet measures 5", which is narrow for a western saddle, but this one will fit closer to an English saddle, fitting like a Medium. Has a more "A" framed tree, lots of wither clearance, very short panels that offer lots of flare and rock/curve to the bars. Has inset stirrup leather bars that reduce any pinching or feel of the bars under your leg that can accommodate narrow time western fenders, or English leathers like it currently has on it. All brass hardware with LOTS of rings for your packs. The rigging on this one is really cool, will fully adjustable Center Fire/Y style rigging that can be moved forwards, backwards, or dropped. The back of the ring is padded as well. Currently has leather latigos (western cinch) on it but could easily have girth convertors added too. Does not have original stirrups, but has a nice pair of matching tapaderos added. Very short panel/skirt at just 23". Surprisingly lightweight at just 25lbs! This saddle has been well cared for, very sharp in all black leather, and the leather is quite soft. Shows minor signs of use/wear, couple small blemishes. Really, the biggest blemish to note is minor rubbing through the leather at the very rear of the panel. This is such a nice saddle that is so darn comfortable!
