Description: This is a scarce 1870s original Eagle & Stars 1776 finger lamp with brass burner & glass chimney....It has an American Eagle with shield inside a circle of stars embossed on one side of lamp....1776 on a document inside circle on other side.....Round with footed base....crude drippy applied finger grip handle....clear...4 1/4"tall to brass threaded collar....12 3/8"to top of glass chimney....Excellent shiny nice condition with no chips or damage. A nice clean lamp with no haze. This lamp was probably made for the 1876 Centennial of the founding of the United States.
