Description: Attractive glossy chocolate and steel brown with subtle traces of lighter brown in protected areas. No roughness or verdigris, but there are numerous light contact marks scattered across both sides including some dull rim nicks and a bruise at ST in STATES. The date and legends are all bold. M-LDS, Breen state VII, with a die crack at LI outlining a cud that is forming from the tops of those letters. There is also a strong rim cud break at CA in AMERICA (Breen's state IX), proving Breen's sequence of later die states is incorrect (the rim cud at CA actually shows in State V early, not state IX). The reverse is rotated 50 degrees CCW, struck slightly off center to K-4.5. Ex; Dorothy I. Paschal - Ray Chatham 11/1977 - Jules Reiver, HA 1/2006:19414 - Daniel W.
