Crafted by an artist who had over 30 years of experience using the finest materials available, making for one stellar piece! Her lamps were crafted using Uroboros, Merry Go-Round, and Youghiogheny glasses, most of which have been out of production for years. The shade was created using Odyssey Lamp systems and sits gracefully atop an Odyssey three bulb, 28" matching Lotus base. The artist Dorothy had a magnificent eye for color and engaged in layers of color study before crafting her final pieces. The detail on this piece is unmatched, in our opinion. Some pieces are so small, they were added with tweezers during original construction! She also had a hand for solder work which shines on the shade, putting other reproductions to shame. To add to its strength and form, it is outfitted with a small brass fitter ring on the top. The work has been exclusively on display in the artist's home safely for decades. In its day, this and other reproductions of hers were viewed and appraised by a professional Tiffany dealer and they were dubbed of the highest quality and on par with Tiffany Glass Studios pieces themselves.
