Description: 1847 Seated Liberty Half Dollar in Fine/Very Fine condition with choice toning, contrasts, & surfaces. There are some nice iridescent blue colors noticed around the edges under bright light. This coin has only about 600 survivors making this date a R-2. Most of these were melted down in 1853 when they dropped the weight of silver in coins minted that year. A very attractive scarcer underated coin from the Philadelphia Mint.
