Description: THIS IS AN 1849 PRINTING OF A MAP FIRST PUBLISHED IN 1768. PAPER MEASURES 18" X 12.25". THERE IS AGE RELATED PAPER TONING. MAP INCLUDES VIRGINIA, MARYLAND, PENNSYLVANIA, NEW JERSEY, NEW YORK AND THE RED LINES APPEAR TO REFLECT THE BOUNDARIES BETWEEN "INDIAN" OWNED LANDS AND THE NORTHERN COLONIES. OTHER THAN A SHORT ONE INCH TEAR THROUGH LONG ISLAND, THE MAP IS VERY WELL MAINTAINED. 1- The map reflects a Corrected Map reflecting the boundary lines from the Treaty signed in 1768 but I don't know when the original copy of this map was printed. This piece listed here was in a book dated 1849. (Photo 2)2- This map Engraved and Printed by Garit & Duthie, Albany (Photo 5)3- Please note the short tear through southern Long Island (Photo 3)4- Darkening at fold lines but bright overall with some light shadow images.
