Description: Large crayon portrait from the 1860s of a Civil War Union Soldier. This is a large, wall hanging sized piece. Framed size is 18.75" x 15.5". Canvas size is 17" x 14". The frame is the inside portion of a larger more ornate frame. I do not have the rest of the frame to include with this portrait. The frame has some damage to the plaster mounding, particularly on the bottom. The picture itself has some issues. Water staining to a large part of the picture, and a small hole at the right side of the subject's nose. Even with the damage, the picture is quite striking. Neither the subject nor the photographer are identified. Please see the photos for a detailed description. Please ask questions prior to purchase.
