Description: 1873 LD Crown Size Silver Coin from Peru One or Un Sol ROMAN I Seated Liberty Facing Right NGC MS62 For your Peruvian Coin Collection-PER024 Details Description: A beautiful uncirculated Peruvian silver crown size coin. This is the 1873 LD with Roman 1 Republic of Peru One or Un Sol silver coin. The coin depicts Liberty seated and facing right. Liberty is holding a staff in one hand and a shield that is sitting on the ground in the other on the obverse. The obverse has the legend "FIRM E FILIZ POR LA UNION" surrounding the seated liberty and the denomination below her. The reverse has the Peruvian arms within springs and having a small wreath above it. The reverse has the legend "REPUBLICA PERUANA LIMA 9 DECIMOS FINO L.D. 1873" along the edge. This is a large and heavy coin with a reeded edge. It is graded Mint State MS 62 by NGC and comes in a plastic holder so labeled. A great looking coin in uncirculated mint state condition to add to your collection. Please carefully review the scan presented as it is part and parcel of our description. Date: 1873. Mint: Unknown. Size and weight: This is a one sol, which is approximately 37 mm in diameter and weighs ~25 gm of 90% silver (0.900). The coin has a reeded edge. References: It is KM #196.4. Condition: The coin is graded Mint State MS62 by NGC and comes in a plastic holder so labeled. It shows peach and gray toning with no observable wear. The coin has some minor surface marks and bag marks throughout the fields. Be that as it may, this is great looking coin and rare in such a condition.
