Description: Piece of 19 century brown cotton fabric recovered from a ceremonial tunic or cloak. Has a slick feel. In the pictures you can see the shape. Folded in half from the neckline to the bottom of the hem is about 1 yard and 22 inches, The width at the bottom is about 28 inches. The width at the middle is about 23 inches and the width at the top of the shoulders is about 19 inches....of course narrower at neckline. Please study the pictures as to size. Noted some discoloration from usage some holes and repairs. One place has selvage edges, and it is from 24-inch-wide fabric. Does not pull apart with a tug even though it is well over 100 years old. Good for hand sewing such as lining for Victorian doll clothes/hats. NOTE: If you are in the area, please visit my booth at Verona Antiques (Not Faktory Antiques), Verona Va, 24482.
