Description: When Grover Cleveland married Frances Clara Folsom on June 2, 1886, it was a White House Marriage as Cleveland was still in his first term in office. At age 21, Folsom became the nation’s youngest First Lady to a President who was 27 years her senior. Her beauty captured the public imagination, and several trade or advertising cards, of which this is one, depicted the happy couple. This example, in sepia, measures 4” x 5 ½”. There is a slight nick in the lower right-hand corner and some glue remnants on the blank reverse. Otherwise this card is in very good condition.
