DeWitt-BH 1888-8, Musante GW-1118, Douglas-34. Deeply toned, dark gray surfaces display lighter gray on the high points of the design. An important piece with the CENTENNIAL and INAUGURAL suspension bars present. More significantly, the bars are still connected by the original red, white and blue ribbon in excellent condition. Rare as a form and so intact. A similar medal posted in Presidential Coin and Antique’s April 2015 Fixed Price List where it was offered at $2950. Condition: Please see photos. Nice, original and rare piece! Some areas of discoloration, most noticeably around the "I" in "INAUGURAL" on the suspension bar.
