Gertrude G. de Aguirre Binding: Hardcover Fine Binding Publisher: Arena Publishing Company, BostonPublication Date: 1894Edition: First Edition Condition: Good ITEM DESCRIPTION Today we are pleased to offer this nicely preserved volume by Gertrude G. de Aguirre! A great find from a local New England estate! This antique volume is over 129 years old! 1st edition. Ex-library. An exceedingly scarce volume to find in any condition! Original publisher hardcover cloth binding is in nice shape overall! Wear includes rubbing and soiling to the boards and spine, a library catalog sticker pasted to the front board, a library sticker pasted to the spine, toning and wrinkling to the cloth spine, some general wear around the extremities including light bumping to the corners and minor fraying to the spine extremes, and some rubbing, soiling and light spotting to the page edges. Otherwise this is a tight, well-preserved antique volume! Internally, this volume is in good shape overall. Both boards are attached to the binding, though there is heavy cracking to the front hinge; the board is still firmly attached to the mesh. Excluding the front and rear free endpapers, which have become detached from the binding, all of the page groupings are secure. Again, the volume is tight overall. This is an ex-library volume with bookplates and library markings visible to the front and rear endpapers and fly pages, as well as the tile page and copyright page. Otherwise this volume is clean and free from signatures and inscriptions. The text block of this volume is very clean overall. There is just typical age-related toning to the pages, as well as the odd spot of light soiling or foxing (by far the heaviest of which is in the Contents section), but otherwise this volume is exceptionally clean and free from rips, tears, writing and markings. Perfectly readable throughout! Make sure to see the additional photos in the description below. 322 pages. Measures approximately 8 inches tall by 5 1/4 inches wide by 1 1/4 inches thick. A perfect addition to any fine collection or a wonderful gift for someone special! Price includes FAST, FREE shipping! Buy with confidence! This item has been carefully inspected by hand.
