The author, Jane Andrews (1833-1887), was an innovative educator and the first student ever registered at Antioch College. The illustrator, S. S. SECOND BOOK The Three Guardsmen By Alexandre Dumas. Published by A. L. Burt Company, 1900 Burts Home Library, Cloth, Gilt Top. Ex- Library book with original library card and envelope, along with a few stamps. Covers and spine have quite a bit of staining and rubbing on edges and corners. Outer spine cover has library letters and numbers. Please see pictures. Out of Dumas's romances, this would be #1 in the 3 musketeers(guardsmen) series of 6 total novels. No publishing date anywhere.
