Description: This is the FS-1102, I compared it to examples on Variety Vista, Coppercoins.com, and pictures of actual certified examples of this variety. All the die markers are there, including the die chips in the B & R in Liberty. Also, the die clash in front of Lincolns throat is faint but still there. That's another pickup point. Turning to the date, the first 9 has a little extra point at the end of the loop in the digit. The O is misshapen, and on the 2nd 9, there is a bit of doubling on the upper western part of the loop. It's worn and tough to pick up with the camera, but in hand, it's plain as day. Finally, the remnants of the last pick-up point remain below and above the low eastern side of the C in CENT on the reverse. It's from a die clash, and it's worn a bit from circulation, but it's there. This variety affects Liberty and the date as extra thickness to the letters and digits. It really doesn't affect the motto or anything else. If you look at the last 2 photos I included, you will see what I used for comparison purposes. Obviously, if this was in mint state condition, seeing all I've described here would make it much easier to see. If you go to variety vista and look this up, it will take you through the progression of this variety from the early die state to late die state. Fortunately, this one is from the middle die state, which is why all the pick-up points are there. They are worn, but I'm confident enough to say if a customer purchases this and they disagree with my analysis, I will gladly give a complete refund and reimburse you for the return postage and packing materials. That's how confident I am. This is the 1909 VDB LINCOLN CENT FS-1102. Split Shipping
