Description: 1915 Military WWI US Military M17 Helmet This is a 1915 Military WWI US Military M17 Helmet pre-owned and in good condition. The strap is missing as the liner. The helmet pad at the top is still intact, photo #6. It has metal loops on both sides. One loop will not move. I did not force or oil the loop to help it loosen it. I believe the helmet was made by the Edward G Budd Manufacturing Company during the War who stopped production in 1918. I did not attempt to clean the helmet in anyway. It does have rust, scratches, and scrapes. There are numbers on the underside of the rim which I believe are ZC257. Pictures of the numbers would not take.
