Description: Leather cover has Boy Scouts of America words and insignia and the name Herbert J. Waters, Jr. six ring binder. There are some blank calendar pages (16 pages), then the Scoutmaster - Patrol Leader Pow Wow, 1925, Official BSA booklet with 78 pages, a number of 1920s Lefax inserts: Nature Games (16 pages), Key to the Orders and Families of North American Birds (22 pages), Key to the Nests of the Common Summer Resident Birds of Northeastern North America (26 pages), A Simple Key to the Evergreens (2 page fold out), Definition of Rocks (3 pages, one is a fold out), Moss Key (12 pages), Botanical Glossary (4 pages), A flower with parts named (1 page illustration), a Fern with parts named (1 page illustration), Practical Nature Puzzles (4 page fold out), Campfires and Outdoor Cooking (2 pages with nice illustrations of fires and text on the back page), a few pages of graph pages, a Lefax Boy Scout Price List (4 pages) this is loose and ripped at the holes for the binder, and at the end the linen envelop for saving things in. VERY RARE The 78 page BSA booklet is dated 1925 Boy Scouts of America 200 Fifth Avenue New York City author Charles F. Smith. The other inserts do not say Lefax but do say Copyrighted 1922-1925 The Slingerland-Comstock Co. Printed in U.S.A. There is the name Herbert J. Waters, Jr. on the cover, assume this was the owner. There is a lined page that says Santa Rosa Merit Badges which lists numbers of badges and also Summer Camp attendance for 1928 and 1929. I assume this belonged to a Santa Rosa California Boy Scout leader. Nothing else to identify previous owners. CONDITION: Leather cover shows some wear, gold colored type and emblem on the cover have wear but it is minimal, inside pages have some browning but they are not brittle, you can easily look through all the pages without any fear of damaging them. There is some staining on the inside front and back covers, does not seem to be anything active. See pictures of the actual item you will receive and email me with any questions.
