Description: DATING TO THE 1920’S NOTE THAT THIS DRESS DOES NOT HAVE ANY PANNIERS INCLUDED BUT I SUSPECT THAT IT ONCE HAD A PANNIER CAGE BENEATH DUE TO THE SHAPE. FASHIONED OF A FLORAL METALLIC GOLD LAME ON THE TOP THAT IS STIFF TO THE FEEL WITH OMBRE SILK RIBBON PIPING AROUND THE NECKLINE AND METALLIC LAME AND SILK FLOSS WOVEN EDGING AROUND THE ARM HOLES AND WAISTLINE. THE SKIRTING IS IN A BRIGHT PINK COTTON ORGANDY WITH METALLIC GOLD LAME EDGING ON THE TOP THREE ROWS. SNAP CLOSURE IN THE REAR. THE INNER TOP IS LINED IN MUSLIN WITH EARLY SERGE MACHINE STITCHING SEEN TO THE INTERIOR. COMES WITH A MATCHING LAME HEADBAND THAT HAS A LARGE HOT PINK ROSE ON EACH SIDE AND EDGED IN THE SILK FLOSS AND LAME BRAID EDGING ON ONE SIDE. PLEATED WRISTLETS ARE TRIMMED IN THE GOLD LAME AND SNAP CLOSED. CONDITION: EACH UNDERARM HAS HEAVY FRAY AND I WOULD CONSIDER WIDENING THE UNDERARMS TO REMOVE THE DAMAGE OR PERHAPS DO AN APPLIED DETAILING. TWO POINTS OF THE GOLD LAME BRAID ARE FRAYED ON TWO RUFFLES SEVERAL INCHES. SOME SMALL SPOTTED STAINING IS SEEN TO THE BOTTOM RUFFLE WITH A SMALL HOLE TO THE BOTTOM RUFFLE ON THE LEFT SIDE AND ANOTHER HOLE TO THE BOTTOM RUFFLE ON THE CENTER REAR. AS STATED, THERE ARE NO PANNIERS AND IS PICTURED BOTH WITH AND WITHOUT PADDING AT THE SIDE.
