Description: 1920's Pre-WWII Vintage V. Kohlert's Sons Graslitz Czecho-Slovakia Oboe w/ Case. Used, pre-owned antique condition. Item has the following issues due to age and will most likely need to be restored for functionality but appears to be in functioning condition. There are signs of wear on the instrument itself including one of the rings appears to need slight tightening when connecting one of the sections. The case has two broken straps and the interior of the case is very worn. The outside of the case is also worn. Cannot guarantee functionality of the Oboe appears to be fully functioning but sold as is. Includes a vintage reed as well from another manufacturer. The case latches with some work and unlatches will need to be greased. The vintage reed case is from The L. Starrett Co. established in 1880. The REED case has glue wear on the inside of case reed is still intact. Research: Based off the research we have done there are many variations of this line due to Germany and WWII. From what we can tell the logo is engraved with the V. Kohlert's Sons Graslitz Czecho-Slovakia dating it pre-WWII up from the 1920's. In 1938 the Germans moved the company into Germany and the logo changed.
