Description: Here is a 1938 calendar and thermometer combination originally advertising a cold medicine called PE-ru-NA. What makes it very interesting however is that it's upper photograph area shows Major Kord and his High Fliers assembled for the Rancho Grande Roundup. Kord was known for his Pirate Radio broadcasts. He and his High Fliers had a profound influence on the Texas sound of country music. Unfortunately the thermometer is no longer attached to the heavy cardboard. Other than, that it is in pretty good condition with a couple of slight dings at the lower corners. It measures 9 in by 5 inches. This is a real advertising piece from 1938 and not a reproduction.
