Description: Vintage WWII Photo from loose photo collection & album of US Army soldier John J Redick of Coraopolis, Pa. He served with Patton's 3rd Army, 1303rd Engineers. Only a couples tateside photos in early 1944. Next photos are from July 44 in France, then into Luxembourg & Germany in 1945. The 1303rd was then sent to the Philippines & Japan. I only did a little research and do not know what Company he was with. A few of his dates are way off according to Normandy invasion timeline and from the book Patton's Fighting Bridge Builders, Company B 1303rd Engineer General Service Regiment by Fitzharris. So more research needed. In the photos he usually seen with a large mustache so he's easy to pick out.
