1960 Chevrolet Corvette

Description: 1960 Corvette Convertible. Documented 2 owner car with paperwork Survivor. "THE STORY" This Corvette was sold new at Don Allen Chevrolet ,1775 Broadway, downtown New York City, The original owner Jean De B. Bertolet , living in Reading Pa., passed away and his wife Phoebe sold the car in 1972 to the Brown family from the Cleveland Ohio area. We acquired the car from that family in July of 2023. On 11-2-72 Mr Brown flew Allegheny Airlines from Cleveland to Reading Pa, stayed at Hotel Hershey, and drove the car home on Pa turnpike back to Cleveland. We have the airline ticket, hotel receipt, turnpike toll card and the Esso, Gulf, and Shell Gas receipts for the trip home. The Bertolet family retained the original dealer paperwork but agreed to give Mr Brown photostatic copies. We have 2 Don Allen bill of sales, the Retail Order For A Motor Vehicle, First Pennsylvania title, and a signed letter from the attorney handling the estate. Also The bill of sale to the Brown family. From there we have binder full of numerous Ohio titles, registrations, Insurance cards, and receipts of service performed over 41 years of ownership. After purchasing the car in July we serviced and prepared the car and received a NCRS Top Flight scoring a 97.6 at the Pittsburgh Chapter meet 10-15 2023. "THE CAR" Original Paint-Interior-Engine and Drive line! 283/270HP, 4 Speed, 4:11 Posi rear diff, optioned with Radiator Fan, 6:70-15 WW tires, Courtesy Lights, Heater, Radio, Metallic brakes, parking alarm, and windshield washer system. This Corvette Retains its original engine block, heads, intake and correct carbs, generator, starter, bell housing, Borg Warner Transmission, exhaust manifolds, dated radiator, dated rear diff. 266 wiper motor, 781 horn relay,1119 voltage regulator and 091 coil. The paint is original and has chips a and small scratches that have been paint dabbed. The Body is no hit! The interior is original and in very good condition. The original carpet has wear spots on drivers side under floor mats. All Gauges, radio, clock, interior lights, exterior lights, horns, wipers and washers work. Trunk is complete with spare, original jack and tools, and tire board. Trunk mat and rear cardboard are new reproduction. Convertible top is a new Al Knoch with dated back window. We had chassis and under body Ice blasted. Frame is in amazing condition! Engine was removed 10 years ago by a local corvette shop and engine and engine bay were cleaned and re-detailed. We have pictures and receipts for this service. Engine runs excellent with no smoke or noises. Exterior chrome is all original and in good condition!
