Description: 1969 Ford Cobra 2-Door Hardtop. (also called Torino or Fairlane)Original numbers matching R code drivetrain. Engine VIN stamped matches title and inner fender stamp. Engine; intake manifold to oil pan with internals, complete heads, cast exhaust manifold headers, 428 manual distributor in tact, oil pump, water pump, high capacity radiator, fuel pump, Ram Air Cleaner, snorkel, seal, and vacuum actuator present. Carburetor is a 428 automatic. Minus starter. The engine block, crank, rods, pistons #'s verified. RUG Top Loader Four-Speed Close Ratio Manual, Big in, Big out with large yoke, original shifters and handle. Bell Housing, Flywheel, clutch, pressure plate, drive shaft present. Original 9" center section pumpkin; "N" nodular case with extra rib, large bearing 31 spline, large yoke and shield. Original 3.50 gears. Professionally set up with a shim pack (not the crush collar) , timken bearings, and an upgraded steel housing. Set up a little tighter for street/strip application. Original rear end housing and 31 spline axles present. Dresden Blue on Blue. Car had a repaint, the original Dresden blue still visible on door insides and trunk interior and other places. The car itself is extremely rough including extensive rust and body damage. The car/drivetrain is largely disassembled for easier parts identification. VIN matching Title matches block stamp and inner fender. MN clean title in my name. Rear gear set is done. Engine turns over, it has not been cleaned, magged, or measured. Transmission appears unopened. The gears hand shift and syncros sound (clunk) like they should on the bench. If it's not pictured or described, assume it's not present. Payment in full within 7 days of purchase. Funds must clear before car is removed. Cash at pick up is fine, but it would then have to be picked up withing 7 days or arrange a larger deposit and balance in cash upon pickup at a later time. I'm not interested in parting it out, however you may elect to pick up as much or as little as you wish. If you are buying this for your Mustang drivetrain, the dates coincide with the build date. The drivetrain can be shipped at buyer's cost via UPS with insurance. I would charge a modest handling fee in order to pack parts. I would disassemble the short block and pack it. The block and/or rear end housing would need truck freight. The rear gear set would be packed in a JAZ 9" gear box that is around $50. This car is a project, to be picked up by the buyer or buyer's representative, not a hired transport company. I travel a lot, so the timing would need to be correlated so that I could help you load the car on your trailer and inventory parts with you. For the most part, I'd be able to provide boxes for parts. Good pick up times are;Now to August 29th or Sept 26th to Sept 29th.
