Description: 1969 Topps Complete Set + Complete Deckle Set HIGH GRADE: Read for ALL Details! Absolutely gorgeous 69 Topps Set. Handpicked over a 2-year period from countless lots and singles sellers. Read the entire description to ensure you understand EXACTLY what you are getting. All my previous set buyers are extremely happy and have become long term customers. The Good: Comes with the complete Deckle Edge set. It's more of a bonus. Some are nice, some are VG. I just had fun putting it together. I splurged for a nicer Clemente, Rose, and Mays among others. It DOES have the Rusty Staub card in addition to Joe Foy. Set has 5 graded cards. I purchased them based on the card, not the grade. Bench and Fingers are very nice and the Mantle too. There are variations are in here. I know for sure Donn Clendenon has both the Houston Card and the Expos card. Almost all the cards are NM or better. There are quite a few in here that I personally consider to be grade worthy (ie 8's and 9's) but that is just my opinion. Any card you want to see closeups of just send a message and I will provide pics promptly. I spent over $1,000 just on upgrading cards from mostly high series and a few of the HOF like Lou Brock, Yaz, etc. The Jackson and Ryan cards are very nice too. The Sporting News cards are all high grade except one I think might be EX or EX-MT. No checklists are marked. The World Series cards are all higher grade except there is one I think is more like EX-MT. The Bad: I don't know if I'd really say it's bad, but there are a couple cards that slipped in, and I am at the max I am spending on this set. You cannot build it for this price. Several of the NM or better high series commons were over $35 each, especially the Trophy Rookies and Semi Stars. The specific ones I have in mind are Pete Rose. That card has 2 wrinkles. I'm not sure how I missed it. Don Sutton is more EX-MT. There are a couple other EX-MT ones sprinkled throughout. As I was taking pictures, I upgraded about 25 more from the 3,000 ct box of doubles. The Ugly: I don't believe anything really fits in this category :) Maybe the Willie Mays. It really just has a crinkled corner and a soft corner. Special Considerations: If I had to put a number on how many cards I would consider to be less than high grade, I would say around 10. I think there might be one or two that fall into the VG-EX category (commons) that I couldn't find a NM copy of. There might be a dozen that could go EX, EX-MT, or NM. I didn't take centering into consideration. Several of these are about impossible to find centered. Lou Brock comes to mind. It's sharp as a razor though. I look at every set sold and listed from the last year, mostly because I really struggled with pricing. I've always been transparent, and I just don't have to make a killing on everything. I'd rather it goes to someone who enjoys it that is always happy to say, "Man I got this set for X amount can you believe it?" I find it makes sales easier for me in the future. I saw sets that only had a couple nicer cards go for $6,000 to $8,000. I saw sets not even close to mine going for $3,500. You can't build it for what it's listed for I know that much. I will put together a lower grade set and make up some of what I lose on this. The price is pretty firm. I will lose $100 right of the bat on insuring this when I ship it. So, feel free to make an offer, but every time I do this the messages come out of the woodwork. Be nice, be reasonable, and with very few upgrades you'll have a set that already has a huge chunk of equity and if you wanted could turn it into something that would almost double your money. But I don't do it for that, or I would just upgrade the few myself. If this set is calling to you make it yours, I will ship it the next day and prepare to be amazed. Hope this helps. If you have questions or want pictures, message me. This is what I do all day. Thanks so much for reading my description. If you read it all the way to here, you'll know I will take $4100 for it. Be sure to check out my other listings! I have several other sets in progress. Thanks! I am pulling all my VG to NM duplicates from the 50s, 60s, 70s, and 80s to present and listing them with more getting added almost every day. This will be a great opportunity for those of you wanting to fill holes in your set or upgrade damaged cards or just pick up your favorite player. I'll list them honestly and highlight the flaws as I see them both in the description and with the pictures and let you all look at the HD pics to decide for yourself. Keep your eyes peeled I don't price gouge and I don't inflate shipping. While you are in the area, please feel free to look around my store and see if there is anything else that piques your interest! Thanks so much for stopping by! Good luck and happy shopping. COMBINED SHIPPING: Please try your best to pay only one time if purchasing more than one item: Please put everything in your cart and click "Request Total" so that I can provide an invoice with the appropriate combined shipping. THANKS! (note- eBay may not have this function available on a phone.) For cards with a price under $20 and with $1.40 listed as the shipping price, I use the following template:1-2 cards - $1.40, 3 cards - $1.65, 4 cards - $2.25. For cards with a price of more than $20, or a single purchase of 5 or more cards, it goes to a flat total of $4.75 for USPS 1st Class (now called Ground Advantage). For any purchase of 2 or more cards with a $20 price, shipping is a flat $4.75. See details below for why. COMBINED SHIPPING DETAILS: For eBay standard orders under $10, I use a rigid cardboard mailer and ship the card inside soft sleeve that's placed into a top loader inside of a team bag and then put in the envelope. For eBay standard orders over $10 I tape them to a rigid plastic shipping protector. For 1st Class orders I put each card into a soft sleeve, a top loader, and a team bag. and tape it to a rigid plastic shipping protector and place it in the envelope. I wish everyone understood how to use eBay standard shipping. I cringe every time I get a plain white envelope with a card stuffed into it. Cheap shipping doesn't have to equate to low quality shipping! I get a lot of messages about my packaging, place an order with me and see how it's done. V/R Timothy US Army Special Operations ABN (R)
