1980 FENDER THE STRAT CATHAY EBONY W/80’s Kahler Hrdtail Trem Custom Shop Pickup

Description: 1980 FENDER THE STRAT SUPER RARE CATHAY EBONY(BLACK). Here we have a custom built fender The Strat from 1980 with a Vintage 1980s Gold Kahler hardtail tremolo (no whammy) that has one black string holder (the others are painted so if you have matching paint its easily fixable) I included the original string trees but other than that the only thing original is the body and the neck and obviously the body has been routed to fit the Kahler and the neck has been routed for the Kahler locking nut. It has gold neckplate and gold higher quality Schaller tuners a gold Kahler locking nut gold Kahler string tree bar it has gold pick up covers gold knobs and gold pick up switch tip and gold input jack, gold strap locks attached to a new a black strap, gold mirror pickguard and gold mirror backplate with gold screws and it comes with a strap and a hard shell case. Under the cover we have a brand new genuine fender American five point pick up switch three brand new CTS 500 pots and Genuine fender USA neck and middle pick ups (Alnico 5) out of a 2003 Fender USA Standard Stratocaster and a Fender Custom shop bridge pickup for a great lead sound. It was just set up by MAD guitars in Burbank California and plays like butter (low action). It has new 10s DiAddario on. The routing on the tremolo was done before I purchased it and it is not quite flush there is a tiny space between the body and the tremolo but it is all black and you cannot see it unless you look really close. The neck has some wear on the sides but plenty of fret life left. The body (other than being routed for the Kahler) is in good condition. Due to the Kahler the guitar feels like a Les Paul weight wise. Not for the weak shoulder person. Just like a les Paul feels. There are a few chips around the nut holes on the neck that doesnt effect playability at all.
