All Engelhard Proof Prospectors are extremely rare and command serious money. Don't be fooled by many scammers who claim their Prospectors are Proofs when they are either just plain Prospectors or early strike flashy rounds. Know the difference. True Proofs exhibit Strong Frosting (CAMEO) on all lettering as well as the Prospector and on whatever design was struct on the reverse. Additionally, both obverse and reverse fields will be mirror-like. Refer to my pictures for a better understanding. When I purchased this proof nearly twenty years ago the capsule was slightly cracked and scratchy, however the Prospector was preserved 100%. No toning whatsoever.
