Description: 1998 TOPPS TEK DIFFRACTOR SALE NOTE: Stock photo used. I would go crazy taking 50 pictures of identical cards for each player. All will be listed correctly in the title. Thanks. I presently have a large number of 1998 Topps Tek Diffractors of card #64 Edgar Martinez listed as separate listings. These were amassed by a diligent collector over a period of 20 years. You will never find another opportunity like this with so many available again. The cards are very attractive with a look similar to the 1998 Bowman's Best Atomic Refractors and they look amazing in hand - and even more amazing when you have a bunch of them all together! Also: I have graded about 20 Diffractors so far and they have all fetched PSA 9's and 10's, so there is likely grading upside here too. By way of background: 1998 Topps Tek had 90 different patterns of each card, resulting in a 90 card set of each player. A diffractor parallel was made that resembled the 1998 Bowman's Best Atomic Refractor. The print run for each pattern was not announced but I believe ranges from as few as 2-5 for some patterns, 10 per pattern on average, and more like 15-20 per pattern for some. No pattern #49 was made, leaving a complete diffractor set at 89 cards. No detailed print run data was ever released, and to this day no one has ever complete a single player set. I am presently breaking up a 50% complete, nearly 4,000 unique Diffractor collection that was patiently accumulated over a period of 20 years. Some patterns in the 4,000 CT collection showed up only 15 times whereas others had 100! Just goes to show that some patterns are made in higher print quantities than others. Many collectors never really tried for the diffractor set, thinking such a feat impossible. However with all the cards I am making available, it allows the buyer a chance at 50%+ from a single purchase. There is hope! For the Base Tek set collectors: I am breaking up a complete 8,100 card master set as well. Feel free to inquire. I have approx 6,000 unique cards remaining and around 5,000 duplicates.
