19th Century Antique Oak Wood & Glass 1.875” (12) Slot Hinged Display Case

Description: For auction is an antique original 19th century oak wood and glass 12 slots table top display case for small items like jewelry etc. The slots average approximately 1.625”x 1.875”. Several measurements are pictured for reference. Although this item is well over 100 years old and heavily used, the top still opens and closes ok. Both hinges pivot well but the nails are loose causing it to be wobbly. One aftermarket nail has been added. The lock clasp is broken as well. The other issue is the backside bottom edge has a large chip and missing a piece of the wood as a result. This happened years ago. The interior has some color discoloration although it’s still decently intact. With a couple of nails added to the hinges it would be ready to use. It’s a cool piece for use as it is or would be a good candidate for refurbishing. Overall very cool old display!
