This 2 LB. Foam will provide a minimum float of 62 lbs/cubic foot. Meets Title 46 CFR 179.240 for flotation foam and USCG Title 33, Chapter 1, Part 183. · Once fully cured this foam can be laminated over with any type of polyester, epoxy or vinyl ester resin without melting. This expandable foam is recommended for void filling in nonstructural applications. It can be poured underneath decks and inside cavities where a lightweight flotation foam is needed to provide buoyancy and support. Easy mixing and handling: 2-part liquid resin component system with a 1:1 Mix Ratio to produce the expanding polyurethane foam. Starts foaming after 45 seconds of mixing, and 7 minutes to full expansion. Build multiple layers by pouring the mix in separate batches to form strong bonds between layers. Instructions: Materials Needed Mixing Bucket Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Safety Glasses and Rubber Gloves. Measuring Cups Mixing Sticks or a Power Mixer Step 1: Using separate measuring cups. Pour the desired amount of resin into 1 cup and pour an equal amount of activator into the other. Step 2: Pour each cup into a mixing bucket and stir thoroughly with a mixing stick, scraping the sides of the bucket until the mixture is a uniform creamy consistency. Step 3: Pour immediately after mixing. The foam will begin to rise in approximately 45 seconds and will continue to rise for several more minutes. Step 4: Allow cooling between additional pourings. Trim off excess with a hand saw or razor knife.
