Description: Up for your consideration comes this GROUP OF 25 OLD, RARE AND ORIGINAL ANTIQUE HIGH DOME BRASS TACKS. THESE ARE VERY EARLY TO MID 19TH CENTURY 1800-1850s. THESE SQUARE SHANK BRASS TRADE TACKS ARE CORRECT FOR PIPE, TOMAHAWK HANDLES, AND PLAINS KNIFE SHEATH AND MUCH MORE. The Indians used these to decorate many items. The earliest trade tacks were made of solid cast brass with brass square tapered shanks and where traded by the Hudson Bay Company, North West Trade Company and others. These are 100% authentic. Dome top heads measure between 11/32" and 3/8". These are early to mid 19th century , all average the same size and some have irregular edges. COLOR OF PATINA MAY BE DARKER, THESE ARE STOCK PHOTOS.
