Friction-fit INCLUDES: 1) 30' Low-Volt friction-fit wand hose - For use with "Universal" vacuum outlets This Central vacuum hose will work with just about all modern central vacuum systems/outlets. This low voltage hose has the on/off switch on its handle. This hose WILL NOT power an electric power head. The on/off switch ONLY controls the on/off of the central vacuum system. This hose has a "friction-fit" handle; this means there is no button-lock to hold your wand onto it. You will use a Friction-fit wand w/ this hose... This hose WILL work with your Vacuflo central vacuum system IF you have "universal-style" wall inlet vales in your home. If you have a Vacuflo system with Vacuflo "Automatic" valves (system turns on when you open the valve door), please see our other TurboGrip hose for use in "Vacuflo" valves. Again, this is not the hose for use w/ Vacuflo Automatic valves. PLEASE READ - F.A.Q - Vacuflo offers two styles of TurboGrip hoses for use in different wall valves. The first is used with the proprietary VACUFLO-STYLE automatic inlet valve; this style inlet valve usually activates the vacuum system as soon as you lift the little valve door open, regardless if the hose is inserted or not. It also usually has 4 screws securing it to the wall. The TurboGrip hose used w/ this type of wall valve will have two metal prongs on the hose end (the end that inserts into the wall valve) that will insert into two small openings just above the larg opening on the wall valve... The second type is used with UNIVERSAL-STYLE inlet valves. Universal inlet valves come in many shapes and sizes and used by many different central vacuum manufacturers (including Vacuflo). They all have two small metal electrical contacts INSIDE the round opening (on the wall valve) that you insert your hose into. These metal contacts are usually spaces 2-4 hours apart. The TurboGrip hose used w/ this type of wall inlet valve will have two semi-circular bands on the hose end (the end that inserts into the wall valve) that will make an electrical connection with the two small metal contacts inside the opening...
