We have an entire weaving and yarn shop inventory to sell that was filled to the brim. This book was found in a locked glass bookcase in my father-in-law's kitchen. This book is in ACCEPTABLE condition. The spine is unbroken. There is no dust jacket. The covers have some minor ageing and/or staining and a couple of bends in the corners and one on the upper back cover. No marks or highlighting in text. Pages are crisp, clean and unmarked. Cover lies flat. Many color photographs. Illustrated, collectible, 1st edition. This book is in ACCEPTABLE condition with only some minor staining on the upper center cover and some bends (see above). We called it 'acceptable' because it must have gotten wet sometime in the past. We only saw it when we took pictures. Sigh. Please assume we missed something because of old eyes. More sighs. It only minorly shows on the thicker pages in the beginning of the book. Those pages are in mostly pristine condition but have normal ageing (front pages). It does not show on the glossy pages in the 2nd half of the book which appears to be in excellent condition. Please see pictures. One odd point. We are going to be getting rid of all our newer cookbooks. What we are keeping are the older ones that we've been collecting for years. (This one is not one of ours). If you have a cookbook you like, see if you can find a later edition to compare to. Most newer recipes have twice the sugar, or more. So much so, you cannot taste the various spices because they are blocked by the overwhelming amount of sugar. Save the extra empty calories! Sweet is good. Cloyingly sweet is yucky! Please NOTE: Old books are heavy books. Safe shipping may move them into the next postal category. Sorry! Please NOTE: We live in Michigan and it is winter. We have the Lake Effect almost every day – massive cloud cover. We are doing the best we can with interior lighting for the pictures. Also, please NOTE: Almost every book has a smudge somewhere. We mention it if we see it, but please assume we missed something. PLEASE NOTE: Because eBay is composed of soulless, bloodsucking monsters, and because it is forcing us to use an ISBN number for a book that DOES NOT have an ISBN number, and even when it DOES have an ISBN, still won’t let us use it, so we use one of a random book. Our book is pre-ISBN numbers. The Library of Congress number is not in this book. The LOC does not hyphenate when you put the number in to verify. Fake ISBN number is 9781014236289. Correct ISBN number is non-existent. We put in whichever one the system will take. Sorry! Note: We are running out of estate books and will be slowly changing over to their other possessions – some serious, some MCM, some just funky, or kitschy. Others are Depression era. Some will be brand new items, still in their packaging, and others will be more mainstream books (from one of the Grandma’s) or some of our personal books or collectables, as we are not leaving this mess to our kids. They are shipped by Media Mail in heavy brown paper, similar to a grocery paper bag. All wrapping and shipping materials are recycled from the cardboard to bubble wrap to 50 year old envelopes.
