Description: 4 KOSTA BODA Sherry WINE Goblets GRIPSHOLM Designed by S. Persson 70s Signed EXC I'm pleased to offer four sherry or port wine goblets from a large set of Kosta's GRIPSHOLM pattern, from the early 1970s. Please see the bottom part of this listing for information regarding the designer of this gorgeous crystal. These were actually purchased in Sweden by the original owner, and each one is hand-inscribed "Kosta" in the center of the bottom. Each one measures 5.25" tall and 2.125" wide at the rim, with the widest part of the bowl measuring 2.875" wide. There are no chips, cracks, cloudiness, or any other damage. Gorgeous, classic champagnes in bright handcut clear crystal. No chips, cracks or cloudiness - excellent! I have many other pieces from this set being listed in separate listings - schnapps, white wines, and champagne goblets. The pattern was designed by Sigurd Persson - a Swedish professor, precious metals blacksmith and sculptor. He's listed as one of the 20th century's most popular Swedish designers. He worked for Kosta from the late 1960's until 1982, and designed striking Modernist sculptural glass during his tenure there.
