Description: Welcome to our small family farm here in Michigan where we have a mix of colors of our beautiful Coturnix Quail. You will receive 50 (+ Extras) Farm fresh Jumbo Coturnix quail hatching eggs. We have a mix of colors including all Jumbo in size: Pearl, Golden Manchurian and Italian, Texas A&M XXL White, Tibetin, Rosetta, Pharaoh, Sparkly Collection, Falb fee, Egyptian, Egyptian Fee, Pansy and Pansy Fee, we are also starting to add in Blue/Blau, Grau Fee, Range, Autumn Amber, Silver, Andalusian, and Tuxedo variations of some of the colors which may be included in your order. These are large birds that regularly reach 14-17 oz, we are working on getting them even larger yet, they are great for both meat and eggs. This listing is for a mix of those colors, we are not selling custom requests at this time. The eggs will be shipped in foam shippers for the best possible protection during shipping which is also part of the shipping cost. We regularly check fertility rates and frequently incubate our own eggs for a way to be self sustainable, we enjoy quail for meat and eggs for our family and also to make sure you are getting high quality, healthy and fertile hatching eggs. ***PLEASE READ*** We do not accept returns or offer refunds. Please do not purchase if you don't agree with the following. Please note that buying shipped eggs for hatching is a gamble and a 50% or higher hatch rate for shipped eggs is considered a good hatch from anyone. Please know that especially with shipped eggs, lack of development does NOT equal infertility. The eggs that leave our farm are fertile, what happens after they leave here is unpredictable. Shipped eggs will often appear unfertilized if they experience trauma during transit, such as being dropped, jostling/vibration during a rough transit, or getting too hot or cold. This can cause scrambled eggs. Generally, if an egg does not develop at all, it was damaged during shipping. If it started to develop, but did not hatch, it is likely due to conditions in the incubator. Please note that checking for fertility is only accurate if eggs are fresh. After a complete incubation, the blastoderm is so degraded that it’s impossible to tell for certain if an undeveloped egg was fertile or not. Because of these factors, we cannot guarantee that your eggs will hatch. Please be thoughtful of all these factors when providing feedback which should be based on communication, packaging and speed of which we shipped the eggs once you placed your order. Please consider leaving positive feedback, we would greatly appreciate your support! We only ship by USPS Priority Mail. We do everything we can to get you healthy quality hatching eggs. All eggs are inspected for damage prior to packaging, then securely packed in foam shippers that are custom made to ship quail eggs, and then they are well-packaged inside the boxes to avoid damage while in transit. Although most packages are delivered on time and undamaged, packages can experience shipping delays and rough handling that is beyond our control. If you see any signs of damage to your package please make a claim with the post office as dropping your eggs with that much force to cause damage will have a chance of damaging the eggs. Please let me know if you would like to have your package held at the post office for pickup, good idea in extreme temperatures. All USPS Priority Mail Is Insured! If you received a package that is noticeably damaged on the outside or any eggs with any cracks or broken eggs please take photos before opening and throughout the entire process. You will need to file a claim with USPS online or in person at the post office where you will need to save your shipping box, packaging, all cracked/broken eggs to bring to the post office. Please do not ask us to file a claim for you if your package arrives damaged or late as this is a shipping issue not something we can control. Please do not leave leave negative feedback based on the post office being late or damaging your package, we can not control how the package is handled once the post office is in possession. ****If your package has not arrived within the time of 5 days contact the post office to make a claim with them, not ebay, we will not file the claim for you, the post office will consider your package late at 5 days and will reimburse your purchase price. **** Please make sure your address is correct in your account as that is where your package will be shipped to. If you need us to ship on a later date please message us prior to purchasing so we can increase our shipping lead time so we will not be penalized by for shipping late. Our eggs are shipped unwashed, so the bloom remains intact and protects the eggs from outside bacteria. Recommendations for resting and incubating:Once eggs arrive please keep the pointy end down while resting and then set in the incubator after you receive the eggs within 12 to 24 hours of coming to room temperature and resting. Resting is really important as it helps the eggs recover from the movement and temperature changes they undergo during shipping. We highly recommend a secondary hygrometer/thermometer in the incubator to make sure it is reading correctly. It's always a good idea to have your incubator up and running with the humidity and temperature stabilized prior to setting your eggs.We use and recommend using the Hatching Time CT60 SH Incubator which recommends temperatures and humidity specific to their products. For general non commercial incubators these are our suggestions but please refer to your own incubator manual for their official guidelines as they all differ somewhat. Set temperature at 99.5 degrees F and humidity of 45% for days 1 - 14 and then raise to 65% at lockdown when you stop turning on day15, then get ready for babies in about 3 days.
