69th Infantry Division White Back Patch WWII Vintage Europe France Germany

Description: The Patch: This auction is for One WWII Original 69th Infantry Division patch with a white back. This patch is in good condition. It has a very nice white backing. This patch does not glow under the UV light and is guaranteed to be authentic. The History: The 69th was activated on May 15th, 1943. It embarked for the European Theater in November of 1944, and entered combat in January of 1945. The division was sent to Belgium to releive the battered 99th Infantry Division. In February, the 69th attacked the Siegfried Line and pushed into Germany. On March 27th the 69th crossed the Rhine and began an advance on Kassel. They attacked across Germany and took Leipzig on April 19th. They linked up with Russian forces near Torgau on April 25th. They were assigned to occupation duties in Leipzig and stayed there until they were sent home in September of 1945.. Please read my auction requirements.
