Description: Today, for your viewing pleasure, is this authentic 80's Prom Dress. This baby was custom made for me 1986 by the lady up the street, who was a dressmaker. I wore it my Junior year of high school to my boyfriend's Prom at the Somerset Hilton in NJ. It cost $375 and my mom was horrified by how much she charged us. I swore to her that I'd wear it the next year for my Senior Prom, which turned out to be a total lie. (I wore a black bubble dress because I was much more sophisticated as a Senior) I designed this bad boy myself. Believe it or not, I actually went on to have a successful career in the fashion industry. So, as you can see, this is a strapless taffeta dress with a lace overlay on the bodice. Inside is fully lined and lightly boned. There is a lace ruffle at the top with rhinestones. There are rhinestones at the waist, and a taffeta rose hiking up the bottom hem, with more rhinestones inside the flower. Measurements as follows: Bust- 36"Waist- 28 1/2"Bodice height at Center Front- 10"Center Back Length- 44" I wore about a size 8 back then, and my chest was a full C cup. This was way back in the past, sigh. I wore this with dyed to match shoes and had 2 hair combs made by the florist with pink rosebuds. Follow me for more styling tips. It doesn't smell at all and has no rips, stains, or tears.
