Description: "This is an interesting adventure novel. It centers around the hobo partnership of the author, Leon Ray Livingston, aka A-No.1, and Jack London (who was a slightly better writer than A-No.1). They travel from New York City out to San Francisco by rail and have a heckuva an adventure on the way. Most surprising to me was the apparent confliction the author felt about his life on the road as a railroad tramp. He clearly hates it, yet cannot quit the life. I'd say it's a must-read for people who are interested in the psychology of the hobo-tramp."It is a paperback. It is 133 pages with illustrations. It is published by the A no 1 publishing Co. It is a first ediltion 4th printing. I didn't notice until I was doing this listing that there is a newspaper clipping in back of book. It is titled "Facts about A-1 King of Hobos". by Damon Runyon. That newspaper article has discolored the last page. There is also some pencil writing on that page. The covers are a little soiled from age with bumping of corners and edgewear. There is light tanning of pages. There is some underlining on a few pages. inv 2
