ABG ALICE 6 INCH PERFECT SHOULDER-HEAD WITH ORIGINAL BODY & CLOTHING. 22 IN.

Description: Here we have 22 inches of loveliness- a delightful and perfect deeply molded 6 inch parian shoulder-head by Alt, Beck and Gottschalck. C.1870. Her cloth body with kid arms and hands is hand-stitched and all original. Alice's body is stuffed with natural cotton boll, as we can see in the small open spot on her right arm. Her left foot has been nicely reattached to her left leg. Her face paint is expertly done, totally original, and she wears a slight smile on her marble white face with exposed ears. Her shoulder-plate is beautifully shaped and molded. The curve of the neck and the roll of the shoulder and chest are quite human-like! Alice has gorgeous blonde molded hair, which is combed off the face, curled, and decorated with a black hairband, all original paint. Alice retains her original clothing, which is understandably quite fragile and somewhat frayed, especially the sleeves of the dress and sleeves of her jacket. The blue fabric has some discoloration due to age. The costume has been washed and pressed. Her dress and jacket are decorated with small clear glass beads, which are hand-sewn to the fabric. Some have been lost over the years. Alice wears her original opal and turquoise necklace and original pearl pin. The opal is real and reflects fire light. I suspect that the pearl is real, also.
