In a dimly lit attic, of a house we once rented when my children were just babies, we had just moved into it and was so far out in the country with no neighbors for miles in the early 1980's. My husband at the time worked for a construction company so we moved a lot and he found this house on his own. The first time I saw it was the night we were moving into it. He was giving me a tour of the three story house and when we got to the top floor, everything seemed normal until we got to the last door, it had this big lock on it, my ex gave a warning to me before he opened the door, and I quote, "This is where the spooks live, never go in this room without me," I just looked at him and rolled my eyes, little did I know the activity that we would experience in the short time we lived in this house that turned into a nightmare. The room had a few steps that you walked up to get into it. Immediately, I did not like the room, it gave me a strange vibe. It was clean except for a couple boxes, that were marked porcelain dolls. I wasn't sure why the previous tenants had left them behind but out of curiosity, I brought the dolls out, since I collected these types of dolls. I have held on to these dolls ever since that fateful day we moved out of that house. I will be listing each one as I no longer want to keep them. They have brought chaos and dread into my household and might even be the reason my ex husband claimed to have seen an old merchant marine man, and they were going to dig up the ships buried on this property. After we moved from the house which was an ordeal in itself, he slowly returned to normal and the subject of this man and the spooks became less and less.
