Description: Hello. This is a listing for one antique monkey plush stuffed animal as pictured. His head is rabbit fur and he has felt face and hand features. I believe his body to be a natural fiber for sure, I think it's wool fur wefted onto a knit. His eyes kind of tunnel back into the formed face like a rivet, it looks like it may be made of cardboard or many layers of shaped/formed felt, like an old hat. He is very stiff and makes a crunchy noise when squeezed, leading me to believe he is stuffed with wood. Although I am uncertain. His eyes seem to be plastic. He looks to be sewn with fishing line. No evidence of any tag ever having been here. I estimate this monkey to be from sometime between 1920 and 1950. Ultimately I will say he is probably from the 1930 or 1940s, as there's not synthetic fibers or anything that suggests that he is from a standardized production line. He has a few minor stains, but is overall in EXTREMELY good condition for his age. Please see photos for details . He is very unique, extremely cute, and ready to go home with someone who knows how special he is. Please reach out if you would like any more photos or have any information for me about him. The more I can learn the better :) This monkey will be packed with much care. Check out my other listings for mostly vintage plush and retro collectibles . Thank you for looking and have a blessed day!
