After the close of the show it was agreed to issue a special Collotype of one painting, the image that had been most requested; THE QUAKER. Andrew Wyeth considered this to be one of his best temperas, and it certainly received the approval of critics and the public. Thomas Hoving, the Director of the Met, worked with Harry Lerner of Triton Press to bring about a faithful image of this never reproduced work, and Wyeth agreed to approve every stage
