Description: Antique 22K Yellow Gold Brooch Victorian Faceted Citrine Glass Paste 8.2g 1800s A spectacular brooch made of 22 karat gold! A unique find from around the time of 1840s to 1870s. The Victorians would use beautifully faceted paste stones in high karat gold. Wonderful detail in the precious metal design. Pin clasp was definitely replaced by a previous owner but is in good working condition. Gold frame is in good antique condition with age appropriate wear present. On the back there are four slashes the metal that could possibly be intentional or at the least it looks to have been made during it’s creation. The glass stone has some minor surface scratches and a few flea bites that do not take away from the charm. Item has not been cleaned or polished. Sold as is.
