Description: Absolutely rare find on my part . Early forged Native American tomahawk / axe . Has all the primitive black smith hammering process marks on it . No cracks , repairs , chips etc . Could use a sharpening though but I honestly don't see it being used again , just to rare of a primitive example of early Native Americam blacksmith work . Handle is made out of a piece of curved tree branch . If right handed the curving puts the head almost right in front of you instead of off to the side . Head is tight on handle . Couple of small cracks in handle most likely from wood getting dry . Handle measures 20 1/8th long . Head has a 3 1/4 " cutting edge ,,,,, 8 5/16th long . It weighs as shown for everything 1.94 lbs . This is a really nice piece of early Native American history , this is a good one .
