Description: Pictured is a late 19th/early 20th century painted metal sculpture of a Greek goddess. It is signed "Bouret" on the front lower right. This strongly resembles artwork by the 19th century artist, Eutrope Bouret, however, the backside of the sculpture is also signed "2231-A" and "P.P.C. c 4-70", so I'm not really sure what to make of this. Other sculptures I've seen aren't painted like this one is, so perhaps these markings were put on whenever she was painted? I also haven't had any luck in determining what the numbers or letters mean, but perhaps someone out there knows. This sculpture remains in good condition other than some areas of chipped paint and spots where can see the metal underneath. Felt material is on the underside for surface protection. Feel free to ask any questions. Please pay within 24 hours.
