The following has been taken from a website:A banjo ukulele, also known as a banjolele, is a four-stringed musical instrument that combines features of both a banjo and a ukulele. Here are some key points about it:Design: The banjolele has a small banjo-type body and a fretted ukulele neck. It's compact and portable, making it great for musical travel.Sound: With its unique construction, the banjolele produces a sound that blends the brightness of a ukulele with the punchiness of a banjo. It's well-suited for various musical styles, including Jazz and Ragtime.Materials: Banjoleles typically have a closed solid wood back (often made of sapele), a polyester drum skin, and nylon strings. The drumskin's elasticity contributes to its quick response, and premium strings ensure a well-tuned sound.Comfort: The banjolele is comfortable to play. Adjusting the truss rod allows for better tension balance and customizable string height.Durability: The sapele xylophone body is hard, warp-resistant, and corrosion-resistant. Chrome-plated pegs and a 15:1 transmission ration ensure longevity.Enjoy making music with this delightful instrument! A Clarophone Banjo-Ukulele is an old-school instrument inspired by the banjo-ukuleles (often called “banjoleles”) that gained popularity around the dawn of the 20th century. Here are some key features:Design: Sized like a concert ukulele, the Clarophone Banjo-Uke combines elements of both the banjo and the ukulele. It has a maple plywood rim and resonator, which contribute to increased volume and a distinctive bright sound.Vintage Vibe: Thanks to its banjo-style head, the Clarophone offers a bit more attack and volume compared to traditional ukuleles. If you’re looking to add some vintage flair to your instrument collection, this could be a great choice. Preowned used condition. There is a string missing. Many spots/stains of dirt on the head along with chips and gouges along the neck of the instrument. It appears to be in usable shape. Although it needs to be tuned after it gets a new string. Some scratches on the back of the drum. There is some staining and dirt along with about a 1/2" dent in the skin of the head toward the left of the bridge facing the banjo/ukelele. Back of it looks like the wood is dry and the edges are starting to crack and chip.
