This type of ruby stained glass was made at Sandwich from about 1875 to 1887. The blank is flint glass with a sustained ringing sound when flicked with a finger. The cuttings are all nicely polished. A handsome piece of antique glass. SIZE: 5.75” Tall x 5.5” Diameter CONDITION REPORT: Used. Very nice condition for its age, no chips, no cracks, no repairs. It has occasional use-wear such as small missing flecks of ruby stain. It has a fully ground and polished pontil. This item has no significant damages, but it will show some use-wear consistent with age and prior service. As always due to age and prior usage, the item may have slight imperfections such as minor scuffs, scratches, trim wear, and/or slight manufacturing defects.
