Description: For sale an excellent large 14 x 11 1/4” rare antique early 1900s Enoch Wood & Sons deep red transferware platter. This large beauty is in a rich red coloration with no fading or color loss seen. This platter has an excellent delicate attractive outer edge with roses and floral border and trees. There is one chip on the back top edge of the platter. Some scuffs throughout due to use and age. The finish is bright and glossy on the entire platter with no dullness or crazing. The scene on this platter is very busy with a nice romantic scenery of a castle and a lady with basket and a girl on the inner part of the platter. What an excellent survivor and rare early piece of English Staffordshire Transferware. This would make a great wall decor, conversation piece and excellent serving platter for your guests.
